Prenatal/Childbirth Class
Prenatal classes are held on Tuesday and/or Wednesday evenings. Class materials will be mailed to you in advance of your class. Registrations received within two weeks prior to the first night of class may not receive mailed pre-class information. Cancellations received less than one week prior to the first night of class will be assessed a $5 processing fee. NO REFUNDS after the first night of class.
TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY SESSIONS:
First class of the month topics include: Late pregnancy, labor stages, pain management, medication and procedures, delivery, and Caesarean section.
Second class of the month topics include: Planning for birth and your hospital stay, post partum care, newborn care, feeding your baby, and unit tour.
SATURDAY SESSIONS:
The Saturday all-day weekend class covers all the above.
Cost: $40/couple
Breastfeeding Class
Breastfeeding classes are held once per month (see date options in form). It is encouraged that your significant other or support person attend with you. Bringing snacks and beverages are also encouraged. Class materials will be mailed to you in advance of your class. Registrations received within two weeks prior to the first night of class may not receive mailed pre-class information. Cancellations received less than one week prior to the first night of class will be assessed a $5 processing fee. NO REFUNDS after the first night of class.
Breastfeeding class topics include: How to get the best start, making milk phases, positioning your baby for effective latch, how to know if you baby is getting enough, going back to work, pumping and storage, and breastfeeding accessories.
